We are delighted to announce that after three years of intensive community engagement the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood Forum and Area were approved by Islington and Camden Councils on 4th February 2016.

The Mount Pleasant Forum is now develop a ‘neighbourhood plan’, which is a statutory planning document that contains planning policies and can be used in making decisions on planning applications in the area. In short, having a neighbourhood plan will empower the local community in terms of planning policy and decision-making in our area.

Click HERE to view the excellent presentation that Dee Searle from Camden Air Action gave at our public meeting on 12 Dec, 2016 about the deeply disturbing topic of air pollution. On top of all the construction traffic we have coming through our neighbourhood, bear in mind Royal Mail intend to increase their polluting Mount Pleasant delivery fleet from 2,000 vehicle trips a day to 3,000 (that’s one every 28 seconds 24/7).
