Building Design magazine have covered comments about Mount Pleasant made by the locally-based world-famous architect, Zaha Hadid.
In a post lecture discussion at the Tate Modern on Wednesday evening, concerned local resident, Stuart Cameron, asked Zaha about her opinion of Mount Pleasant, to which she replied it was “Terrible.” She went on to say, “We should do a proposal for this site … it is something that interests me enormously. There are some really great sites that could have done with some imagination. I don’t want to criticize the architects for the Mount Pleasant site but there are very major buildings being put on Farringdon Road, enormous, which would impact on it in an enormous way, so there are lots of possibilities.”
Her full response can be watched on You Tube HERE here.
Could Mount Pleasant see the unlikely union of Classicism and Parametricism ….!
