GLA – Public Hearing announced for Oct 3, 10.30am

Please come and support the Mount Pleasant Association (MPA) as they present the community’s opposition the Royal Mail Group’s planning application for Mount Pleasant.

With a scheme that has been universally panned by the professional community and caused outrage in the local community for its poor planning, insipid architecture, shameful affordable housing quota and total disregard for the health and well-being of Londoners, the MPA needs your support as it presents its case to a Mayor that has already declared his interest and is hell-bent on approving the scheme.

The public Representation Hearing will be held in the Chamber at City Hall on 3 October 2014, starting at 10:30. The hearing is open to the public but the Chamber has a capacity of 250 people. A location map for City Hall can be found here:

A more detailed disabled access information is available here: http://legacy.london.gov.uk/gla/city_hall_multimodal_map.pdf

The agenda will be made available on the GLA website here: http://www.london.gov.uk/priorities/planning/public-hearings/mount-pleasant-sorting-office

We are not the first community in London to stand up against insensitive and uncompromising developments that take so much more from the community than they give back and we won’t be the last, but we can send a resounding message to the GLA and to the RMG that it will be their loss if they choose to ignore us.

We look forward to seeing you on the 3rd!
