Since the planning application was called in last January, the Mount Pleasant Association has requested that the local community get the chance to meet the Mayor and express their legitimate concerns. His office, like the applicant, the RMG, have refused.
The local MP, Emily Thornberry, has also written many letters to the Mayor requesting a meaningful dialogue but has had little response.
Last week’s site visit was billed as a technical visit. The local community were denied representation, while the Royal Mail were permitted to attend.
