Eminent designer and local resident pledges support for the MPF campaign

Thomas Heatherwick, local resident and creative mind behind some of the nation’s most celebrated designs, including the Olympic Cauldron and London’s new bus modelled on the old Routemaster (which was launched on the No.38 route that passes Mount Pleasant!), has lent his support to the campaign by writing to councillors and planners in Islington and Camden calling on the RMG to rethink their proposal and deliver a scheme that, rather than being an example of commercial mediocrity, is instead an exemplar of innovation and good urban design.
